Our philosophy


The Grass Company wants the stigma removed from cannabis consumption. We do this by offering top products and a total coffeeshop concept.

According to sociologist and emeritus professor of environmental science Egbert Tellegen, the Dutch coffeeshop is one of the main Dutch social innovations of the last half century (Mets & Schilt, 2008).

This view we endorse and that is why we put much effort into the regular catering section of our coffeeshop. In our view, a coffeeshop is all about coming in contact with other people. It does not matter whether you’re president of the United States, lawyer, janitor, judge, construction worker, or work as an administrator. At our shops, everybody is equal. Our coffeeshops provide fraternization, and this will remain until eternity.
